Paul McCartney Carpool Karaoke

Paul McCartney and Adolf Hitler (Pete Seeger said the key to the future of the World is finding the positive stories and let them be told)

As we anxiously await Trump’s arrest here is a true story and video that might warm your heart with hope.

In 1940, Liverpool England is being bombed by Hitler's air force. Jim McCartney who is 38 years old, admitted to his friends that he is undoubtedly a confirmed bachelor.  He takes to an air raid shelter where he meets Mary Mohan who at 31 years old and considered a spinster dedicated to her career in Nursing. The bombs that lasted long into the night had the positive effect of Jim and Mary striking up a prolonged conversation that results in their marriage one year later. Paul McCartney of Beatles fame was born one year after that. One of Paul’s earliest memories is seeing his Mom bicycle away to work in a heavy snowstorm.

In 1956, Mary knew her time was near when she was diagnosed with cancer. She continued to bicycle to work often in much pain. On the day she was to have an operation, she commented to her sister in law as she prepared Paul and his brothers clothes for school that at least they will be ready in case I don’t come back. Her last words that day in the hospital was that she would have loved to see the boys grow up.

She returned in a dream that Paul had in 1968. He woke up hearing her words “Let it Be” to any problems he might have. He immediately wrote one of the greatest songs of all time with references to his Mother Mary in the song repeatedly.

In the small house you are about to see. Paul McCartney indicates that he woke up got out of bed dragged a comb across his head found my way downstairs and drank a cup…. These are the words by a young man writing the verse to A Day in the Life considered by historians and many experts as the greatest Beatles song. Since the Beatles are considered the greatest rock group this song will undoubtedly live on so that in 100 years teachers will still be discussing it’s impact on Rock and Roll and our culture. This magnificent song was co-written by a young man in his 20’s in very modest surroundings.
