13 Year Old from Vermont should replace Trump
Ethan Sonneborn is a thirteen year old that appears to be more qualified than Trump is running for governor in Vermont with eventually setting his sights on the White House. Mr. Sonneborn is highlighting gun control in his platform. Representing a new generation that sees the National Rifle Association as the main problem that needs to be fixed, Ethan is calling for stricter gun control in his home state. He told newspapers recently that the national conversation on guns in the aftermath of the Florida school shooting presents a “good opportunity to make change.”
"I wish it didn't take a tragedy for us to become involved in a national dialogue about how we move forward, but we can't go back in time and make it that Parkland didn't happen. And while we're in this moment, I think it's a good opportunity to make change." Obviously the current administration that receives millions of dollars from the National Rifle Association is too corrupt to make some common sense changes.
Ethan emphasized that he is respectful of the state’s prominent hunting culture. “It's a culture that I respect," he said. "But if it's making the decision between letting my friends have a good time at a firing range and them possibly being involved in a school shooting, I'm choosing legislation to protect them from that school shooting."
Ethan’s biggest obstacles are balancing campaigning with school, and not having a driver’s license since he is dependent on other people for rides to statewide events he speaks at. There are currently no age requirements for gubernatorial candidates in Vermont, and Ethan is the youngest ever to seek the office. Young people have been at the forefront of the gun control conversation following the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. Survivors of the shooting have been in the national spotlight and organized the "March For Our Lives," the anti-gun violence march that drew least a million people including Paul McCartney to cities around the nation last week.
Trump was playing golf while the protests occurred. Trump has also met with the National Rifle Association who contributed thirty million to his ill advised rise to the greatest country in the world in 2016.
Lock corrupt Trump (aka David Dennison) up and scatter the NRA funded Republicans to the wind in 2018. Repeal the 2nd Amendment but give hunters rights to use arms.
